Our Values

Owner, Brian

Brian Cote is one of John’s sons and the Owner of J.B. Cote Construction. He started working with his father when he was just a kid on nights and weekends. He attended Blackstone Valley Technical High School in Upton, MA where he majored in Carpentry and graduated number 1 in his Carpentry Class. He has been working full-time in the construction field since 2007. Brian carries his Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License, Excavation Operating License, and Commercial Driver’s License. Brian’s passion for building and problem-solving has taken him from carpenter to now managing the J.B. Cote day-to-day tasks from meeting with clients, estimation, scheduling, material ordering, and more. He is usually the face you will see if you set up an appointment with J.B. Cote Construction. Brian enjoys spending time with his three young boys and his wife Danielle.

Owner, John

John Cote is the founder of J.B. Cote Construction. John started the company over 35 years ago in 1985 as a General Contractor doing framing, roofing, and siding. The company has now expanded to be a full-service construction company from foundation to the finishing touches. He attended Woonsocket Vocational School and New England Institute of Technology earning an associate’s degree in Building Construction Cabinetmaking Technology. John has a Home improvement License, Construction Supervisor License, and Hoisting Engineer License in Massachusetts. In Rhode Island, he is a Registered Contractor and carries a Hoisting Engineer License. John’s day-to-day consists of overseeing the general operations of J.B. Cote Construction to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Often, you can find him in the shop maintaining the equipment. John has two sons, Brian and Nathan, who both proudly work alongside him in the family business. In his free time, John enjoys camping with his wife Monique, and spending time with his five grandchildren.
